# Angel and Archangel

### **Creation and Origin**

**Angels:**

1. Angels are either crafted from divine essence by a goddess or ascended mortals deemed worthy by their actions and faith.
2. Created angels are often more obedient, as they are bound by their goddess's essence and purpose.
3. Ascended mortals retain their mortal experiences and individuality, making them more unpredictable but also potentially wiser and more empathetic toward mortals.

**Archangels:**

1. Ascension to an archangel is a rarity and requires either immense service, sacrifice, or exceptional divine favor.
2. They are chosen either by the goddess herself or by unanimous agreement among the goddesses. Some might have been forged directly from powerful celestial energies, bypassing the angelic stage altogether.

### **Free Will and Relationships**

* Angels and archangels have free will, but their alignment often reflects the domain of the goddess they serve. For example:
  * Angels of the Goth Goddess might have dualistic tendencies, embodying pleasure and pain, with some acting as tempting muses and others as stern enforcers of penance.
* Those serving a Goddess of War might be fiercely loyal but prone to seeking battle beyond their orders.

**Relationships:**

* Angels are free to forge relationships, whether platonic, romantic, or alliances. However, goddesses who create angels view relationships with them as taboo, akin to incest.
* Mortal ascended angels might fall in love with mortals, demigods, or even other angels, creating complex dynamics in the realm.

### Roles and Duties

**Angels:**

1. Messengers and Envoys: Deliver divine decrees, carry out small-scale tasks for the goddesses, and serve as intermediaries between mortals, demigods, and the divine.
2. Guides and Protectors: They might act as personal protectors to mortals or demigods, guiding them toward fulfilling the goddess's will.
3. Assistants to Archangels: Supporting archangels in larger celestial endeavors.

**Archangels:**

1. Commanders of Angelic Hosts: Lead angelic legions during celestial conflicts or in defense of a goddess’s domain.
2. Diplomats of Divinity: Represent their goddess in high-stakes negotiations between goddesses or external powers.
3. Keepers of Divine Law: They enforce the unwritten rules of the divine realm, ensuring balance and order between the kingdoms and realms.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://pantheon-of-paradoxes.gitbook.io/pop/core-concepts/angel-and-archangel.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
